So You Got Baby Goats?

Now what? I may be the only one that does this, but I tend to get animals and then panic when I don't know how to take care of them: bearded dragons, snake, ducks, chickens, and goats....Am I the only one?

I created Goat 101 after realizing how little information there is for goats out there. Want to know about chickens? Hundreds upon hundreds of pages on a Google search. Pigs, cows, horses? The same.

But goats don't get a lot of love here. I'm not sure why! Do you see that adorable snuggly thing to the left? I think it has to do with the very common misconception that goats are hardy, hard to kill, and eat anything.

But none of those things are true.

Goat 101 was created to help those who have no clue how to take care of their new goats.

Our Goating Story

I'm not going to lie, I didn't want goats. I had done some research and realized that they were a lot of work. Not something I wanted to add to my brand new homestead.

But Jared wanted goats as "long term lawn mowers". So we got our first two goats. Within a couple of weeks, the smallest was rushed to the vet with a deathly high worm load.

He died the next day.

I was devastated and wanted to sell Bella. Instead, I made it my mission to learn EVERYTHING I could about goats.

Food, Minerals, Grain

We will go over what feeds are acceptable to feed your goats. We keep it very simple and easy and provide you a digital chart to download so you can take it to the feed store.

Videos

This course includes 4 videos for you to actually SEE what I am talking about with when we discuss hoof trimming, body condition, goat assessment, and FAMACHA

Still On The Fence

I totally understand, if I had access to a course like this when I first got into goating, I would have laughed and said you're crazy.

Because for some people it is a lot of money.

But after losing V to worms and a lack of education, I swore I would never allow my babies to die because of my lack of knowledge. So I got to work.

I searched high and low, begging SOMEONE to have a course that would teach me the basics of how to take care of these creatures. But there was no goat basics crash course.

The only thing I could find was individual research papers, blog posts, and random blurbs that mentioned goats one time in a sheep article.

Hindsight is 20/20 as they say. I would have paid a lot more than what I am charging for this course if it would have brought back V or Texas.
